The Holy thoughts of Mary
Go and tell that friend you haven't seen for a while that you love them. Tell them you are praying for them. It's never too late. Even if they pass and the opportunity was lost, you can still tell them and pray for them beyond the grave. They can hear us. What a sweet consolation to their souls to know they are still being remembered by us.
As long as there is breath in our bodies, we can do so much for the living and the dead. Our intent and prayers reach them no matter where they are. Many times, though a lot of times, we are unaware of The power of Love. It might be the perfect time for someone to hear it. Struggle and suffering go hand in hand. The comfort of a kind and caring word can soothe the soul. Soothe the heartache and can give such hope. I myself feel such warmth of heart when someone smiles at me or tells me they love me. We all need it. It is a desire that has been bred into each of us from the "God of Love".
It's never too late. Don't give in to hopelessness. Just as Mary saw Her Beloved Son die, so She always knew the hope of being with Him eternally again someday. Love is eternal. Hope is eternal. The blueprint God has made for each of us is perfect in all of its ways. It changes only when we decide not to follow it. To try to change the path He has intended for us, to lead us to Him. It's never too late to realize this that His great hand in each and every one of our lives is the way it should be.
Feed the poor. Clothe the naked. Visit the prisoner. A person could be a prisoner even in the comfort of their own home. Visit them. Take off the blinders that withhold from us the grace needed to be children of God.
The Poor Souls in Purgatory are suffering. Pray for them. Sprinkle them with holy water and offer up masses for them. Someday, if the day still has not arrived for us, we will rejoice in our efforts, and the efforts of others. In our intentions to remember all who knew us and even those who did not. Do it today.....
It's never too late!
