Fishing Nets
Our Anchor
The ship was stopped for a repair
The water currents on top middle and bottom were there
So an anchor was made ready
And dropped toward the sea bottom to keep her steady
But the sea at this position
Was far too deep for this anchor’s mission
The cable spool now devoid of its load
The cable now dangling deep in the abode
A storm is on its way
In its path does the ship lay
But only while the currents keep her fate
For without an engine or anchor soon the storm’s bait
The storm is gathering and swirling
The upper water currents stirring
Soon the ship is caught in its grip
The storm has arrived ready to tear and rip
The captain should have known the depth
That it was far too great to have the ship be kept
His lack of foresight and being naive
Has caused this utter catastrophe with no reprieve
We are all a ship each one of us
The captain is you with your anchor Jesus
The length of your anchor line depends on daily prayer life
Without which always leads to horrific strife
Therefore to avoid disaster pray to and heed our Lord daily
Offer Him always laud and glory
And your ship through even the harshest of storms will it weather
For you are now being guided under the Admiralty of your Heavenly Father
Amen
