August Feast Days, Novenas, and Ways to Celebrate and Pray
News broke on January 20th that Cecile Richards, who was President of Planned Parenthood, died of a brain tumor. She served as president of the abortion giant from 2006 to 2018.
During her nearly 12 years as president, she presided over an estimated 4 million abortions. The majority of them were African American. How ironic that an organization claims that Black Lives Matter is murdering them daily.
“We wholeheartedly hope that she was able to make peace with God in her final days, as we believe that no one is unworthy of the enduring love of Christ; we all fall short of the grace of God, and we are all in need of a Savior.” Sidewalk Advocates for Life wrote in an IG post.
Abby Johnson used her death to remind the horrors of what former and current employees of the abortion giant go through each day.
“One of the most difficult parts of my conversion was leaving behind those I considered my friends. I so desperately wanted them to feel the freedom and joy that I had received by surrendering to the Lord and His mercy. I prayed. I reached out.” She wrote on her Facebook page. “I did my best to see them at events to speak with them. But once they see you as the enemy to their cause, you become invisible. Cecile Richards was one of those people in my life who I had to leave behind. I became her opponent, but she was never mine. I simply saw her as a tool being used by the enemy, and I believed in her conversion until the very end. I pray that in her final moments, she had a powerful encounter with the Lord, as He wants all of His children to spend eternity with Him."
She would go on to encourage people to pray for abortion workers. “Our work is not done until every abortion worker finds peace, joy, and healing in their lives. From every level on the organizational chart, from receptionist to CEO, one by one, until there are none.”
In light of her death, let us all pray for the conversion of all who work in the abortion industry and for their conversion. Let us also pray for the soul of Cecile Richards in hope that she repented of her association with the Culture of Death.
