“You did not anoint my head with oil, but she anointed my feet with oil.”(Lk7:44-46)

Oil of Love

The sign of love, of charity

Is done with eyes of faith; so

Greater love is given for one’s greater sins.

Help us to see the light.

To come from love, to go toward Love-

Our common goal within our sight;

To change from “I and me” to we

Together with Him, our life must be.

Prepare ourselves with sacrament

From sins of past remorse;

Forgiveness from the One we love-

His words of reconciliation, they are strength enough.

“Have mercy on me, O God, in your goodness;

In the greatness of your compassion, wipe out my offense.

Thoroughly wash me from my guilt

And of my sin, cleanse me.” (Psalm 51)

Christ showed actions in a different light:

To change bread into His life,

Wine into His blood, surely is a banquet;

Leaving a memorial, how everything is to be.

Anoint me Lord to give to others

The love which we do share;

Permit your absolution to be within my hand;

So I make smooth and straight His way.
