Are we Sovereign?
The Evil of Saran is just a stone’s throw from our future!
Look at the present condition of our nation, not discounting the world stage where nothing sacred is considered valuable any longer. It makes us question what has happened to church-going people where the image of Christ and his Passion mean in a world of faith that has lost its hold on people’s hearts.
We might consider the new-age philosophy where Saran’s reality has any sense to most people who believe that he is a fantasy that comes out on Halloween as a make-believe dress-up and laughable costume. Other than that the teaching of the Church, along with many scoffer’s ideas, have slipped into an innocuous feeling with no need to worry.
That is a far-fetched idea that too many people have adopted that religion, accepting the theory of a God who is in outer space with very little care about us, and the belief that we humans are on our own, has become the philosophy of agnosticism and atheism.
Be aware that the day is coming when even the few believers in Christ among the world’s inhabitants will make choices that would have their parents roll over in their graves. Their voices would want to say, “why O children that we spent hours teaching you about Christ has now gone down like a dung-hill of belief?” Can we even think that Satan has taken over the world’s trust in God who promised to be with us even to the end has relented on his promise?
“For I know well the plans I have in mind for you, says the Lord, plans for your welfare, not for woe! Plans to give you a future full of hope. When you call me, when you pray to me, I will listen to you.” (Jer 29: 11 - 12).
“Fear not, I am with you; be not dismayed; I am your God. I will strengthen you, and help you, and uphold you with my right hand of justice.” (Is 41: 10).
These alone should give us hope that God even in the days of turmoil and fear of their enemies centuries ago still assures us that our enemy Satan does not have the final word. Where has the trust in our living God disappeared to in a time of mistrust in the moment of fear and a loss of faith in Christ’s Church and her ministry of the priesthood?
Satan is at his most elated feeling as he watches people who once adored and praised Jesus Christ have slowly turned their faith to the premise of new-age philosophies and have left the Church for a promise of personal gratification and those who present themselves as modern-day prophets.
Without faith it is impossible to please him, for anyone to approach God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him. (Heb 11: 6).
In a world where few will find solace with God and heaven he promised, the future is bleak for many. That is the evil Satan has for unbelievers’ future.
