Single Awareness Day
As the events from the 51st annual March for Life are going into rearview, pro-lifers will take time to reflect and see how they must march on for the unborn.
More than half a million pro-lifers from every corner of the nation marched with a purpose that tied into the theme. Even the speakers did some justice, helping people of good faith. With last-minute tweaks to the speaker lineup, all were inspired by their stories to renew their energy and fight for life from womb to tomb.
Here are three take aways from the rally today.
Lila Rose
Lila Rose, The founder of Live Action, took time to address the crowd. She opened with her recent debate at Georgetown between her and a law professor who supports abortion. She shared how one pro-abortion student changed her mind as a result of the debate thanks to Lila’s impactful dialogue.
Showing up is “half the battle,” Lila suggested. Everyone has the” power to change minds.”

Vice President JD Vance
The 50th Vice President of the United States became the first VP since Mike Pence to attend the March for Life and reflect on this year’s theme. The event marked his first public appearance since his inauguration, and he is the first millennial elected to the position.
“We march to proclaim and live out the sacred truth that every single child is a miracle and gift from God.” Vice President Vance remarked. “Watching all three of our kids grow, learn, and become who they are today has been the greatest blessing of our lives.”
Every child must be “cherished and protected.” The Vice President added.

Governor Ron DeSantis
The governor of Florida made an appearance at the March for Life. Florida was the first state to defeat a pro-abortion amendment last fall. This came on the heels of sweeping pro-abortion victories across many states following the Dobbs decision.
He also garnered the largest victory of any governor in the Sunshine State. He confronted the lies the media put out about pro-life laws, which was the turning point in the amendment ever getting passed by a majority.
“Show courage in defense of the unborn,” Governor DeSantis challenged the crowd. “The sanctity of life does not rely on poll results,”

Pro-lifers, defending the unborn is not an annual thing to do. Rather, it is a daily commitment. We must proclaim the pro-life message everywhere. From the dining room table to the public square. Proclaim and defend life at a sports game, office, and even the grocery store. The culture will change when we embrace our identity in Christ and accept a courageous faith.
One thing we can agree on is a line delivered from the Vice President, and that he wants “more babies in America.”
Pro-Lifers, let us march every day. Let us step into the breach. God wants all hands on deck to help double down on the message of life.
