Healing Hurts

All parts of a body are needed to make one whole

From our head to our knees and toes to our soul

When one part isn’t working things don’t go smoothly

That’s when it’s time to become particularly choosy

The same goes for our Church and our society

We need God’s handiwork to make all behave perfectly

But due to human free will and egos

Our lives and hearts become selfish and impatient and our anger steadily grows

What is always needed is time to let yourself heal

The best and true way us to rest in God’s Words for they comfort and they’re real

As with any injury on our body that must be made well

The other parts miraculously jump in to take over to rest the injured and reduced the swell

So no matter your supposed reason

To not go to God and truly listen

Gain wisdom and realize you must lose your selfish impunity

And so with head lowered in dignity go to Him to gain health and unity

For our Lord can heal body hurts and parts as well as our souls and minds

God through us asking Him in prayer will cause our pains to rewind

As healing can now begin because you have put yourself in His Hands truly

So continue daily offering Him praise and everlasting glory
