God Feels our Pain
Something May be Missing Spiritually within us!
Signs that only through the Blood of Christ is the truth that we, all sinners, are saved from eternal death. However, just what is this truth that seeks to be known in the minds of Catholics if the Real Presence of Christ is only a passing thought with no meaning?
The Pew Research Center survey finds that most self-described Catholics don’t believe the core teaching of the Transubstantiation of the Eucharist at Mass. The research has found that 69% say they personally believe that during Mass, the bread and wine used in communion are symbols of the body and blood of Jesus Christ. Yet, despite the many instances of a bleeding host, scientific examination has proven the flesh is of a human heart and the blood is AB, the same found on the Shroud of Turin.
So what are we to assume from more than a holy tenure that gives some an incorrect idea of what Roman Catholics hold as absolute truth that will outlast their own lives? Somehow scripture portrays some miracles that many take as a passing thought and move on thinking this is some trick or make-believe event. Look at John chapter 6 where Jesus multiplied 5 Barley loaves and two fish that fed over 5,000 men and women and children as well. When finished, they filled 12 baskets of left-over food. This was not a supposed instance where the people brought food from home as in a picnic atmosphere. (Jn 6: 1 - 15). So it is with the Holy Eucharist
Have you ever dreamt of being in a church atmosphere where you become the center of attention in a pretentious way? Even though everything and everyone appears to be substantial the end leaves you in a wanting position that you know upon waking that there is something missing in your present life? This could be a sign that reality is calling upon you to search deeply into the emptiness that allows useless entities to interfere with your common sense and needs to get a foothold on what Spirituality means to you.
Reflecting on the moments of dreams that can lift us up or tear us down, it is necessary to get beyond the make-believe and find the signs of truth that are divinely inspired. Life affords each of us an opportunity to open the shroud that is a veil over our human learning and find deep inside the Holy Spirit who is working to guide us towards the life that seeks us who is Jesus Christ.
Our quest in attending Holy Mass should be a mandate to send us out to evangelize the unchurched. The common man or woman who are not religious or ordained are the vehicles that will bring the common people back to Church. Perhaps we may say this is what is missing in our spiritual lives and become the impetus to bring Christ to the world.
