re: "The Nature of the Family"

James Martin, SJ, has long displayed difficulty with the truth that marriage is the lifelong, open to life, bond between one man and one woman.
The "family" is the married couple and their children (cf, The Catechism).
The family is the primary unit of society and a basis of Catholic Social Teaching.
This is absolutely NOT a disrespect for people who experience same sex attraction. Shame on Catholics - particularly clerics who indicate otherwise.
We need to be alert to Father Martin and other clergy (dare I say most modern Jesuits) sowing confusion in these areas.
It is so cool that both the Catechism and its Compendium are so available to us!
