Why Not Today?
Many times, I have wondered how we are all born with two eyes, a nose, a mouth, and two ears, and yet there are so many variations in our looks and separateness of looks we can easily recognize someone we know. But, why is it some faces appear to be beautiful, gentle and kind, or spiritual while others present a face of anger or defiance?
I am just in awe of those who can not only find their way easily into various types of software, but those who create it are genius to me.
Regardless of how we view the differences in how each of us looks or the talents that one might possess, everything reverts back to one God, our creator. In maturing, and understanding our reason for being created, we all mature in what I will refer to as stages of maturity and understanding.
This is somewhat different from Spiritual maturity, as in this case, we are more able to understand why we were created, and what our Creator wants from us. For example” our talents and gifts are God-given as we did not learn them, or train to enhance our talents, they were God-given. In acknowledging how such gifts are blessings bestowed upon His creatures without being deserving, it makes sense then, that we are obliged to understand how God desires us to use these gifts, blessings, and talents.
It does not require an in-depth study, all that is needed is to look at how God used His power and abilities to serve us while on Earth and after leaving Earth. He cured the sick, gave sight to the blind, taught at the Temple, embraced the disciples, and invited them to follow Him and become Evangelists. He showed love, mercy, and forgiveness to all. He allowed Himself to be nailed to a Cross and died for us because He loved us and wanted to save us from sin that could close the gates of heaven to sinners.
In showing our gratitude, understanding, and love for our Creator, we might be able to understand how using our talents to help others know Christ would help our plight as we strive to be accepted by Him in the new life that awaits us after death, yet only if we emulate to the best of our ability, His love, mercy, giving and forgiving.
The question remains, “Do we look alike?” Very possibly, many of us resemble others, yet it is only important how Christ sees us that will matter in the end.
