What is your thought about entering heaven?
How should anyone look at this unknown entity since even Jesus didn’t detail its description. The only thing he was emphatic about paradise was the choice of following the right road to find it. “Enter through the narrow gate, for the gate is wide and the road broad that leads to destruction, and those who enter through it are many. How narrow the gate and constricted the road that leads to life. And those that find it are few.” (Mt 7: 13 - 14).
With that absolute scenario to find heaven the best direction we must follow is up to our own discretion. However, with so many obstacles in today’s society that have a powerful attraction to pleasure and power, how can anyone make a sound decision? A question that does not exclude any of us, especially if knowing who God really is not in our understanding.
Having an understanding between God and heaven is not a 64,000 dollar question. Both entities are eternal since God created everything and is waiting for us to choose him forever. It's the manner of choice that will make our everyday quest a challenge if we follow a Woke or New-age philosophy that is bringing untold numbers of people to the very wide road that promises nothing more than sadness and a loss of your soul
Now, the challenge all of us need to accept is not how much money or prestige we should spend our waking moments contemplating. When was the last time you considered finding Christ in your life, not through the practice of counting the efforts you expend in what you do, but how close you have come to allowing the Heart of Christ and what he gave you through his Passion?
Unfortunately, too many may find that the more they give without accepting God’s mercy and closeness because of our desire to have him within ourselves proves to be a shallow existence. Certainly the Lord loves those who will give their last dollar if asked but some use this as their ticket into heaven. If this is their thinking they should stop and consider the premise that we cannot earn or buy our way to God and heaven.
That was one of Luther’s theses nailed on the door of the church at Wittenberg, Germany. The Catholic Church promoted getting people to donate more money to gain indulgences from time spent in purgatory His argument was you cannot sell indulgences of anything else in regards to heaven.
One last item of concern is people who are advocates for abortion and profess to love God need to take a second look at this evil occurrence. God is forgiving, but our direct adverse activity even through supporting abortion in speech is risking trouble.
