Let There Be Light: Part Two

Let there be light the Lord did say

And the sun appeared for the very first day

Along with darkness its only sibling

And its two cousins dawn and evening

On day five came came the creature of the sea and the sky

God commanded the aquatic species and birds to be fertile and multiply

The day ended with the evening

Tomorrow the sixth day would be beginning

Day six brought the most exciting and exotic of God’s creatures into being

The insects crawling flying and buzzing

The animals and amphibians so amazing

But then God said let’s bring forth what’s now missing

Just as God thought it should be

He made a man in the image of He

To have dominion over all that is living

And a companion the woman too He brought into being

Now it was time for a rest

For all was good and perfect and blest

Thus the Creator of all there decided on day seven

That all was done

And thus He declared this day seven the day of rest

For He was pleased for all was His best

Blessed now was the day and made holy

The day the Israelites called the Sabbath day

Amen
