The greatest fear we might face is allowing the force of evil to enter our nation undetected!
A new day brings untold surprises through the Essence of Christ
It isn’t as though the Lord decides to hand us something we can’t discern a change of direction without first seeking his grace. But that is exactly what happens each time we slip from what we already know could lead us into a dark corner. When any of us studies a particular subject and graduates to a higher goal we should realize that the first round of study cannot be forgotten.
So it is with spiritual learning and many bookshelves are signs of previous books that have led one to seek more without closing them away. Volumes of written information are not novels to be read to the last page. They stand as hours of someone's tireless effort to assign information we may never get anywhere else. The one resource we depend upon.
This is how Christ, through his 3.5 years of teaching the apostles just what they needed to hear, absorb, and preach to the endless inhabitants of the world through their followers including you and me.
“I can not do anything on my own. I judge as I hear, and my judgment is just, because I do not seek my own will but the will of the one who sent me.” “If I testify on my own behalf, my testimony cannot be verified. But there is another who testifies on my behalf, and I know that the testimony he gives on my behalf is true. “ (Jn 5: 30 - 31). We too must follow that same thought that what we teach has been given to us through the Holy Spirit's encouragement.
“He summoned the Twelve and gave them power and authority over all demons and to cure diseases, and he sent them to proclaim the kingdom of God and to heal the sick.” (Lk 9: 1 - 2).
Fr. John Burtaoucci , a renowned preacher, told me, when we preach we also are healing. Go and evangelize and heal as the apostles were told to do.
The most prominent discourse Jesus gave to the disciples said; “Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you until the end of the age.” (Mt 28: 19 - 20).
As we read, absorb and put into motion all that has been given to us, through the work of others, use ourselves to make more disciples for Christ and help in spreading the truth for the kingdom.
