Preach through the Pain of Suffering
The Punishment of Purgatory is not for the unforgiven!
The Catechism of the Catholic Church teaches us that purgatory is not punishment but a cleansing like the fire of melting steel products removes the dross and leaves a pure remnant of strength and lasting security for those who use its presence. Article #1030 of the CCC states that, “All who die in God’s grace and friendship, but still imperfectly purified, are indeed assured of their eternal salvation.” Therefore, we must never fear the tenets that disbelievers of this entity promote. I presume that anti-Catholic theories from non-Catholics are using this truth, along with other basic teachings of the Catholic Church, as a way to make their own doctrines appear to be easier in order to advance a premise for those who have become turned off by Catholicism.
As I wrote recently and mentioned the many other articles I wrote on purgatory, this has become the one truth that far too many Catholics are leaving for that false opinion. It could be that Catholics who follow that false theory might think that their acceptance of non-believers' ideas that they definitely will not enter a cleansing period of removing the dross they possess. Do they believe that any need for purification is removed at the moment of their death? If this is so, maybe they also believe that there is no punishment for sin and everyone goes to everlasting peace with God.
That thought shows us that God was wrong when he put Adam and Eve out of Paradise and threatened Satan with a life of eternal punishment. With that proclamation the words or meaning of Genesis that states the following is incorrect; “Because you have done this, (the words he spoke to the devil) you shall be banned from all the animals and from all the wild creatures. On your belly shall you crawl, and dirt shall you eat all the days of your life. I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; He will strike at your head while you strike at his heel.” (Gn 3: 14 -15).
Since the bible is inerrant (without error) then the full meaning of this monologue of God to Satan must be accepted as truth. Interestingly this narrative begins with a warning that is completed in Revelation when Christ returns at the Parousia and Satan is locked up for a thousand years until the final occurrence where Satan, the beast, and the false prophet, are condemned to the Lake of Sulphur for all eternity. (Rev 20: 10 - 15).
Adherence to the Catechism of the Catholic Church is a belief that in spite of some adverse events within the Church, our belief and continued acceptance of our doctrines is the one truth that has existed from the life of Jesus Christ including the Apostolic Succession of Bishops.
Apostles beginning with Peter and all the close members at the Last Supper were the first bishops and their total ordination Rites have never Waned down through the centuries. What was begun at year 33 AD is still our advocacy and teaching through the Catholic Church.
