Cycle C -- Homily -- 7th Sunday of Ordinary Time -- 20 February 2022
Friends --
As you may know, Lent begins in less than two weeks -- 05 March 2025. Maybe you are looking (or will be looking) for some good Lenten reading.
May I brazenly -- but humbly -- suggest my book, The Trial of Judas Iscariot? (Available on Amazon.) The questions suggested here are: What was Judas guilty of and why? The answers are really quite complex.
This book is written in play form (as reading theater) and can be performed by any group of any age from high schoolers through centenarians. Only the two attorneys move around; all other actors give their lines from the podium. It is suitable for everyone and can lead to some very interesting discussions.
The introduction to the book does suggest some costumes but this play can be performed in today's street clothes.
The play has been presented seven times -- in Colorado, Alabama, and Arizona. If you choose to put it on, I would love to hear from you. ravenmirlo@yahoo.com
The book is also good for just plain Lenten reading.
