Are we doing our part to lead our families to Christ?
Eileen Renders
Are we living up to what God and His Blessed Mother have asked us to do to gain salvation? Do we understand that the time of Mercy from Christ may only be offered for a limited time? What may we be ignoring? How can we do better?
Let us look at a few things we have learned about our faith. The blessings and gifts that God wants to provide us with. Sister Faustina Kowalski, a nun back in the 1930s. received an apparition during prayer to do a painting of the Jesus of Mercy. Jesus explained how He wanted a red and white stream emanating from the painting. Sister Faustina was captivated, yet could not help but say; “Jesus, I cannot paint.” Jesus guided her hands, and she painted what Jesus asked her for. Jesus attached many promises to those who venerated this image. According to Kowalska’s diary, Jesus told her; “I promise that the soul who venerates this image will not perish.” However, Jesus also told Faustina that the time of mercy will not last forever. He prolonged the time of mercy for sinners but warned that they must recognize this time of his visitation and have recourse to the fount of His mercy.
