Artificial Intelligence

         Some of the recent news articles have been written about Artificial Intelligence.  Some articles see it as the next great step in humankind’s evolution.  The articles tout the fact that some human work will be replaced by computers controlling machinery to do some of the more laborious work that humans accomplish.  It is basically a higher form of automation.  Computers will be able to communicate with other computers detailing what machinery must accomplish for a days work.  The computers will also be able to communicate with humankind with an artificially generated voice.  Mostly up to the present, this has been science fiction.

         The benefits of this technology could greatly enhance medicine.  Imagine an implant into the human body that the body does not reject in the vertebrae of a paraplegic to help him walk and regain the use of his arms and hands.  Imagine a person who has lost their ability to speak regaining that function with an artificial voice.  These are some of the many uses of Artificial Intelligence.  However, there are some drawbacks also.

         One drawback is that it will make many people unemployed.  I am especially concerned about people over forty years of age.  They spent most of their work life working at these jobs.  To make them unemployed is unthinkable.  Another pratfall of Artificial Intelligence can be found in the Book of Revelation, chapter 13.  If not controlled, Artificial Intelligence will create an image of the beast that forces all humankind to wear the mark of the beast on their foreheads or right hand.  You will not be permitted to buy or sell anything unless you have that mark on your body.  What Artificial Intelligence does no tell you is that you will be doomed to hell for all eternity once you receive that mark.  If we let Artificial Intelligence be uncontrolled, it will become a modern day Tower of Babel for all humankind.  It will separate all humans into two groups.  They are saved and the unsaved.  Remember that no one is saved unless they persevere until the end in the faith.

         Yes, it is good to develop this resource, but it must be heavily controlled.  Let’s keep Artificial Intelligence intelligent.  Let us not make Artificial Stupidity to create the downfall of humankind.
