The Salt of Love

Salt is used in many ways

To preserve food for many days

To flavor up the meal for that night

To help cleanse and soothe as epsom salt might

Salt is found deep underground

Naturally occurring and sometimes near oil it’s found

And the shafts and caverns after mining

Used to preserve documents from degrading

Salt though has one peculiar characteristic

It is a one time use product

It’s flavor and use once put on to food

Can never ever be again reused

We have been given from our Lord

A measure of a special salt to be used to help earn our reward

A reward that comes from loving everyone

And keeping peace with all not just some

That salt it is like that which preserves books and documents

We are always able to use it to forgive and make amends

But tempted by the Devil we lose this salt

And unfortunately it is by our own fault

But when we are truly forgiving and repentant

God will replenish and restore it

We must learn to always use our God given salt

To keep peace with all and accept when we’re at fault

Don’t let your salt become tasteless and useless

Live by God’s Word not by the Devil’s

And your salt reward will now gain you entrance into Heaven

From whence was designed the Garden of Eden
