The Way The Truth The Life
The Innocence of Man
The innocence of man was once found
In Adam and Eve until they discovered the serpent on the ground
From that point that stain called original sin
To all who are born is now given
But that sin is only revealed
When a child begins their steps to adulthood
Before then only pure innocence
For so lovely are toddlers and infants
They do not know the wrongs from the rights
Only what is taught them by their parents
They learn to love trust and fear
They learn by what they taste touch and hear
This is who we must be to enter Heaven
We must become as we were when we were children
No egos wants or desires may we bring
Only the ability to listen and enjoy an afternoon on a swing
God will only embrace those who love and obey Him
Not the supposed wise and strong in the gymnasium
But those who see the wonder of clouds and a rain shower
Or the wonderful smell of cut grass or a spring flower
Amen
