The 7 sorrows of Mary
Have you ever noticed how many times the words, "reap"or "harvest" is used in the Bible and in Biblical references? I love the thought of reaping a bountiful and plentiful harvest. It gives me hope. It makes my heart feel warm with the love generated by that One True God who is our "reaper" and our "harvest".
Every kind act done out of love, especially for the least likely is one great way to reap a good harvest. Suffering is another way. By resignation to a suffering, offered with all of your might, the scourges that the pains give us from those sufferings, especially in Honor of Jesus's most Sacred wounds, or the Holy Souls in Purgatory, or for a person suffering themselves with cancer or some terrible sickness is going to grant you a bountiful harvest. I picture Heaven as miles and miles of beautiful trees and flowers and wheat all sectioned in their rows all spread out in a bountiful harvest. Every day it gets reaped by those who have won their Heavenly crown.
Oh how I want to be in God's Heavenly Harvest. I want to be in the" reaping of the souls" that passed in good judgment. Let us not delay every kind word or deed as the Harvest is approaching. May we find our seeds in the good soil and not among the weeds. May we reap a good harvest in the contentment and peace that God our Father loves us and wants us to reap the harvest that "He" sows.
