That thorn in your paw
The Prophet Samuel, when entering into King Saul's camp, saw the demon they had enslaved in chains and in a cage, where he laid as an animal. King Saul in his pride kept him there as a feather in his cap. Samuel saw this and thankfully destroyed the demon yelling, "God shall not be mocked!". Samuel slayed him, but a terrible curse laid upon Saul and his household. Destroying the demons that lie before us is mandatory. Keeping them around shows God we do not fear Him in His Holy Majesty. The demons of pride must be severed and destroyed if we are allowed to let God work in our lives. Like Saul's household, our households will suffer also. Thankfully, God's mercy lies within us all and laid within Saul also and saved him from eternal punishment.
The Prophets of old have much to teach us. More importantly, giving us more reason to read the Bible and study on the ways of the Old testament therefore making the New Testament come alive. Everything we need to know lies within the pages of the greatest book ever written. The Holy Bible. To study and comprehend the Holy words God Himself wrote should be heeded as our extreme guide to Life and Heaven.
Many great Prophets and Saints alike, had their share of tests and temptations, only to prove that listening to God was and is the only way.
God shall not be mocked! How dare we try to think for a moment that we know more than our great and omnipotent Creator? We must stop this madness and come back to the God who wants all good things for us. We must fear only the wrath that comes from mocking Him while placing ourselves in the control that He ultimately owns.
Pray very hard. Pray very vigilantly. Do not cease and trusting only in God and His Commandments, or the consequences will be harsh. God wants Peace. He wants Love to abide. But that can only be accomplished by obeying His Holy Statutes.
God shall not be mocked!
