Jonah: God's coward
Recently, Trent Horn did an episode on the Counsel of Trent, called “The Problem of Idolatry on the Right”, while I would not have used that terminology, but his point is well taken.
It should be said that I am a Conservative and a Republican. Having said that, the sign of a healthy democracy is debate.
And before someone says, “The United States isn't a democracy, it's a republic”, it's both, much like Switzerland and France, Republic vs Democracy, Was the United States Founded as a Republic or a Democracy?
Before we get started, please make sure you check out my latest on Locals; On James White possibly denying the existence of Ignatios of Antioch
For the record, the US founding fathers weren't completely against the country being a democracy, it was more fear of excesses.
Anyway, what I noticed in the meeting with Trump, JD Vance, and Zelensky (it should be noted that I've always been critical of Vance as Trump's VP pick).
I saw a huge amount of my fellow conservatives defend the actions against Zelensky. By the way, calling Zelensky ungrateful is something I can easily prove false, Zelenskyy thanked US 33 times since 2022, contradicting Vance’s claims
By the way, at the beginning of my previous article, that this one may happen.
Well, now the US has paused intelligence sharing with Ukraine, CIA Director confirms US pauses intelligence sharing with Ukraine
Which lead to this, by the way,Death toll from missile strike on Kryvyi Rih rises to five. People died, I believe, as a direct result. Because Trump and Vance though Zelensky was “beneath them”. No, Trump and Zelensky are both heads of state, they're equals, no matter how many illusions we have that America is somehow better than every other country.
I LOVE America, I was born here, and know better than to take my freedoms for granted. But when someone needs help, based on a promise YOUR country made Ukraine: The Budapest Memorandum of 1994, and then you DARE criticize the person asking for help, when your country had already said that it had the responsibility to help.
Thinking about it, the refusal to help is kind of an inversion of the story of the Good Samaritan
“And behold, a certain lawyer stood up, and tempted him, saying, Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life. He said unto him, What is written in the law? how readest thou? And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself. And he said unto him, Thou hast answered right: this do, and thou shalt live. But he, willing to justify himself, said unto Jesus, And who is my neighbour? And Jesus answering said, A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, which stripped him of his raiment, and wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead. And by chance, there came down a certain priest that way: and when he saw him, he passed by on the other side. And likewise, a Levite, when he was at the place, came and looked on him, he passed by to the other side. But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was: and when he saw him, he had compassion on him, And went to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring in oil and wine, and set him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn, and took care of him. And on the morrow, when he departed, he took out two pence, and gave them to the host, and said unto him, Take care of him; and whatsoever thou spendest more, when I come again, I will repay thee. Which now of the three, thinkest thou was neighbour unto him that fell among thieves? And he said , he that shewed mercy on him. Then said Jesus unto him, Go, and do thou likewise.
Luke, 10:25-37.

And since I wrote this article, this absurd claim was apparently made, Trump claims Ukraine “more difficult” to negotiate with than Russia after he cut US aid, since Putin doesn't want to negotiate; Day 1108: Ukraïnian Map
I don't believe that Trump can be that ignorant on Putin.
