"I SHALL GIVE YOU ALL"

This Sunday's Gospel realing from Luke 4---speaks of our Lord being tempted by the devil. The part that 'jumped' out to me these lines.

"Then he took him up and showed him all the kingdoms of the world in a single instant.

The devil said to him,
“I shall give to you all this power and glory;
for it has been handed over to me,
and I may give it to whomever I wish.
All this will be yours, if you worship me."

This is the reason my dear people we have the world in the choatic state it is in!! Global warming, all the hate and abuse, crime and fraud, the anger and protesting, wars and death and dying.
Most people, like Adam and Eve, want MORE!!!

People wanted more power, prestige, more money, more GLORY!! To be 'liked' by 'social media' or society. In other words, they want to be doing things their WAY, and not following the rules and laws of God's!!
They bowed down to the evil one, just as Adam and Eve did--wanting MORE!! All they could get into their bank accounts, or more fame! They wanted more votes to win control of our world or to win awards and trophies. The result?---Anyone with any intelligence can see the sad condition of our world, our lives, and our society that left us in this chaos and destruciton. Death and dying everywhere!
NO MAN CAN FIX OR RESTORE this world, or the society we live in. Only God can and He will!

2 Chronicles 7 v14
if then my people, upon whom my name has been pronounced, humble themselves and pray, and seek my face and turn from their evil ways, I will hear them from heaven and pardon their sins and heal their land.
Exactly, if we do as Jesus said in the Scripture today. “It is written You shall worship the Lord, your God and Him alone shall you serve.”

Do we want a Healed Land, a better world and life---then OBEY GOD, let us not bow down to 'wants' but choose to live, live well and prosper, by obedience to GOD's Words. May the peace of God be with us all and Peace will when we walk hand in hand with Our Lord eveyday.

Born the youngest of nine children, raised VERY Catholic across the street from Immaculate Heart of Mary church and school—Mom and Dad led by example and word their FAITH in God and saw to it that I was given 12 years of Catholic Education. (Mount St. Mary’s Academy/1965)

But, most importantly, because of my parents’ spiritual renewal after attending Cursillo Weekends, I too went on a retreat at our beloved Subiaco Abbey in Arkansas and there, at age 20, gave my life totally, surrendering all to my Lord and best Friend. This was my “Pentecostal” event that left me, like all the early Christians, on fire with God’s love and forever changed.

My husband Robert and I have been married for 52 this year in a marriage arranged by God. We have 8 children, two in heaven, 24 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren. The story of our life together can be found in a book titled “My Journey, My Cross-As the Journals End,” published by Westbow Press . Our life together has been one awesome up and down roller coaster ride which enriched my heart with so many of the gifts of the Holy Spirit. I have found that the only way, Wisdom, Understanding, Words of Knowledge, Discernment, and Healing can be received is first by experiencing in your life the hurts of others. (and you yourself a sword will pierce)^* so that the thoughts of many hearts may be revealed.” Luke 2 v 35.

God has blessed me also many other talents and skills--but sometimes, blessings/gifts can and have caused problems or conflict in my life, as I am human and all too quickly that part of me shows up. Thank You God that You also show up!
