The before and after

We start as souls before we ever become bodies. This is the first way that they exist. We do not remember this, as it was before our current living flesh and blood forms. However, this is the state that we will return to once we die. Our souls will leave our bodies and we will return to God. In this way the before and the after are the same. We do not need to fear death as we have already expected that plane of existence with God before we were born. The afterlife is the next phase in our journey but for God, all our phases happen simultaneously. We need not fear returning to him, as he will embrace us with open arms.
