Mary is a gateway to Christ.

Out mothers are our gateway to this world. We are part of them for nine months, then once we are born they care for us. This is the same for Mary with Jesus. She was the gateway between Heaven and Earth for him. Mary was his earthly mother and as such she is the gateway between us and God. Motherhood is a wonderful thing and we should honor and cherish out there, grandmothers and family members who are mothers. Much like Mary was the gateway to God, they brought us all into this earth so they too are our gateway to Earth from Heaven above.
