Our Holy Father Pope Leo XIV
As I pray my prayers in the wee morning hours, alone with God and Mary and all of the Saints, I ponder the thought of Mary in all of her innocence, and all of Her predestination, unaware that a great gift was about to be given to Her. She was just like all Jewish people praying for salvation from the bondage of this world, created by our ancestors, until that wonderful light appeared in the solitude of Her room. The Archangel Gabriel, in all of his splendor. The fear of this extraordinary display was intriguing yet puzzling to Her as the wonder of the light began to speak. Greeting Her with the Divine words "Mary, God has chosen you to be the Mother of His Blessed Son". So many thoughts must have run through Her head. First, in question, was "how can this be?". Assuring Her, the sweet Archangel gave Her the sweet assurance that all things are possible with God and that the love transferred from the Father to His only begotten Son, would come in the form of the Holy Spirit upon Her and fill Her with that Divine love thus creating His most Beloved of all creation. Jesus.
That's a lot of information to be poured on one human. Especially a youth. If not only to have been created only for this purpose, the normal person would probably have said, "now just wait a minute". But not Mary, Her surrender to God's Holy Will gained Her the reward of becoming the Holy Mother of God. To bare the Redeemer. Our Jesus. Good things happen when we surrender to God's Holy Will, as Mary proved. There is peace and joy in the surrender. The God of all love, mercy and tenderness is a good God. His thoughts and plans for us are so much greater than all of the world's desires put into one.
The Holy Anunciation proves to us that "all" things "are" possible with God, and that our Mother Mary is Our Hope in achieving all things. Through Mary to God.
