To the Ends of the Earth: Legacy – Week 7, Day 1 – Taking on God's Eternal Perspective Frees Us from Worry
Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.
Galatians 6:2
Remember those who are in prison, as though in prison with them; and those who are ill-treated, since you also are in the body.
Hebrews 13:3
One of the most important aspects of brotherly love is being strong in the storm. In our lives we will face many trials and bear many burdens, but we never have to bear them alone if we have brothers who will walk with us through the tough times. As we stand with our brothers, we reveal the power of the Body of Christ and witness to the true nature of the Church to build up one another as we grow and glorify our God.
We can see any trial through because we have a Savior who never changes. His love is always and forever perfect and pure. With Jesus as our strength and our brothers by our side, we can ride out the storms of life, giving and receiving the support and the love we need to reach our place of rest. As Catholics, we have been transformed into companions and sturdy shelters by the One who took all our pain to the cross. Because he will never forsake us, we can be steady brothers to one another and bear witness of this brotherly love to the whole world.
