Darkness and Light

Daytime brings us the epic show light

Its colors and dramas so rich and so bright

The yellow so luminous

The red apple like delicious

The blues meander from deep to sky

And the whites from snow and clouds way up high

Nighttime brings us darkness

Seemingly void cold and almost colorless

The little light that we see

Are from stars that appear so little and tiny

Nary does it brighten the landscape or atmosphere

Except from a full moon when it does appear

God is Who makes and brings light rich and comforting

Who brings warmth and great viewing

He allows the darkness to give us sleep

As well as the animals like His sheep

His Angels also do not live in the dark

They who are known for saying the word hark

Evil however thrives in the darkness

Lurking and squirming almost helpless

When the light shines he always escapes

He is no party to happy landscapes

He lives all eternity in a fiery mess

His goal to drive out all love and all happiness

Trust in God the Creator of all

Only in Him will you be joyful

He is not and can never be evil

That is itself a choice by us to become like the Devil

Good will always over come if you believe

But you must listen and to God only must you cleave

Amen
