River of Life

River of Life

The snowflake landed and settled in

To the glacier on top of the mountain

Still winter the sky cold and grey

And the north wind blowing ever which way

Soon enough the season had changed

Time for some elements to be rearranged

The sun now shining even longer

It’s rays of light and heat growing stronger and stronger

The snowflake suds awoke to find he was part of a puddle

What do I do now he began to muddle

It was a little too late though

For he no longer was part of the snow

Soon he was falling and churning

Bouncing down the glacial river flowing

On its way to its final destination

He was now part of earth’s irrigation

He found himself awakened after the journey

In a pond with minnows tadpoles and water murky

Soon though his journey would be complete

As he along with all water would help other life become replete

This is all God’s handiwork in motion

He the Bringer of the true river of to fruition

This circle we see complete daily weekly monthly yearly

All by He Who loves us dearly

Pray to Him often throughout your day

Try to have your prayer have meaning in some way

And don’t forget to thank your Heavenly Father

For one of His constant gifts to us His life giving water
