Without Forgiveness we shall destroy our souls!
A Prophet for all Time and Every Believer in Christ / Part 2
As mentioned in the first of several articles from Isaiah and his Suffering Servant Songs, the period we now are living in brings these truths to light and presents to you and I the need to put into practice what Christ has placed before each one of us.
Hear me, O coastlands, listen O distant peoples. The Lord has called me from birth, from my mother’s womb he gave me my name. He made of me a sharp-edged sword and concealed me in the shadow of his are. He made me a polished arrow, in his quiver he hid me. You are my servant, he said to me, Israel, through whom I show my glory. Though I thought I had toiled in vain, and for nothing, uselessly, spent my strength. Yet my reward is is with the Lord, my recompense is with my God. For now the Lord has spoken who formed me as his servant from the womb, that Jacob may be brought back to him and Israel gathered to him. And I am made glorious in the sight of the Lord, and my Godis now my strength! It is too little he says, for you to be my servant, to raise up the tribes of Jacob. I will make you a light to the nations, that my salvation may reach to the end of the earth. (Is 49: 1 - 6). Suffering Servant Song 2.into song
If these words from just this Suffering Servant Song do not open our eyes to God’s justifying Israel in Isaiah’s time, let it be known that Israel right now needs the hand of God and the assistance of the United States to bring this to a peaceful conclusion. Make no mistake that Israel always has been God’s chosen nation and will continue until the final age.
Thus says the Lord: In a rime of favor I answer you, on the day of salvation I help you, to restore the land and allot the desolate heritages. Sing out, O heavens, and rejoice, O earth, break forth into song, you mountains. For the Lord comforts his people and shows mercy to the afflicted. (Is 49: 8, 13).
Again, as mentioned in Part 1, we need to see the atrocities being waged against Israel and the nations that are lining up to destroy God’s chosen nation will receive the justice from God. But until that time arrives, we must also, individually and community wide, believe in the mission of Christ to stand with us even while he stands for our redemption.
