I Am The Way

They had been up to no good

Stealing money and even food

They didn’t need to they were just bored

Suddenly they found themselves in a situation

A strange place and no not on vacation

Time now for a confrontation

They had been detained by the police you see

Caught stealing during a local emergency

In cells now because of their larceny

One remembers that maybe it’s time to pray

He remembers his priest told him one day

If you’re in trouble call on Jesus straight away

Only one in this crowd tried this action

A priest he called to make a confession

Absolved he agreed to the judges decision

He made it through because he repented and prayed

He prayed and confessed to Jesus our Savior and Lord

He Who is the Way the Truth and the Word
