Why Can’t We

Why can’t we just do as we want

Why can’t we do just one time what we mustn’t

Is there harm in doing what we want to do

Behave be nice be kind well we don’t want to

Moses and Jesus both dealt with this misery

Of people who had no want of charity

Not a good position to be in at all

For Satan doesn’t care how little you are or tall

Why can’t we do just anything

Why can’t we get away with just a little sinning

We’re generally amicably good  and all alright

Except when we party drink carouse and fight

Our Lord has warned in word deed and action

Heed what has been told with the right reaction

For only one time do you live here on this world

And forever will be arduous indeed if you decided to not follow or heed the Lord’s Word
