Countless are the blessings

     Look around you. See the overflowing of your cup. As Seph Schlueter, a wonderful Christian singer says,"one, two, three, up to Infinity, we will not be able to count our blessings because of the infinite number are wonderful God has blessed us with. I am grateful. 

     It's only when you keep wanting more and more are your eyes blinded to these great gifts. Think about how many times you rise from sleep with your heart beating, your eyes that are seeing, your ears that are hearing, your mouth that is speaking. Every tree and every flower you behold. Every child and grandchild that you see. All of the blessings that lay before us, to countless to count. If we get caught up in the despair and woe we see and read about in this world, it is easy to forget about how many more blessings to each one of those woes there are. We are blessed beyond all measure. The devil only wants us to remain in sadness and he tries his best to make us forget the beauty from which all things have been created. Don't let him in. Turn your hearts to the Creator and He will show you the good. 

     Counting your blessings and being thankful and grateful really is all God wants from us even our trials and tests are blessings, offered up to Him who alone allows them. We give all back to God from whom wence they first came.

     So many blessings. Love, joy, peace, hope, plus all of the worldly gifts of homes, children, grandchildren, food, priests, friends, all two countless to count. 

     Let us be grateful. Even in our lack of riches we can find a peace unmeasurable to all the money in the world. The rosary, confession, the mass, the Holy Eucharist, our Blessed Mother, all of the Angels in the Saints. Countless blessings....
