Why are there still attacks on the Theotokos?
“You shall not covet your neighbor's house; you shall not covet your neighbor's wife, or male, or female slave, or ox, or donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbor”. (Exodus 20:17)
Also see Deuteronomy 5:21.
So, I was thinking about this. And I know I'm not exempt.

Now, don't get me wrong. I can get wanting a wife LIKE your neighborino's, but, when you get into coveting his wife, well, then you're getting into Exodus 20:14 territory, “You shall not commit adultery”. Also, see Deuteronomy 5:18.
I think we have an idea that “adultery” means “cheating on your spouse”. That certainly is adultery, adultery, IV. Offenses Against the Dignity of Marriage
But, I would argue that it's more broad than that. It's ANY sexual act outside of marriage. Now, I can't control my thoughts 100%, and neither can you. But, you also haven't got to dwell on it.
God takes the sin of adultery so seriously, that idolatry is consistently compared to it in the Bible,
“For long ago you broke your yoke and burst your bonds, and you said, “I will not serve”! On every high hill and under every green tree, you sprawled and played the whore”. (Jeremiah 2:20)
Ultimately, though, ALL sin is about putting yourself above God. It's a form of idolatry in and of itself.
I myself am a sinner, and I am aware of this fact.
But, here, God is telling us something for our good. It's easy to see the Bible as a bunch of rules. Well, those rules mean something. It's not arbitrary, and they really are there for our own good.
Think about the marriages that have been broken, just for not following the “don't covet” aspect of The Bible.
I've never been married, but, when I was younger, I was not exactly a person that cared about that rule.
But, oddly, I would have hated if it was done to me. And EVERYONE should hate if it was done to them.
Why are there industries that are worth billions of dollars, that encourage you to cheat on your spouse and you pay for?
Make adultery illegal again.
I said it!
