Them People

THEM PEOPLE

“Be careful what you say to them people.”

“What people?”

“You know ----them people! Be careful what you say to them people. You don’t want them to understand what you say---for then they might be as good as you.”

“What are you talking about!!?? Who are you talking about?”

“Them people. I admit, I don’t know who them people are either---but God said not to speak to them people.”

“God said what!!??”

“Look right here in Isaiah Chapter 6--9^* And Yahweh replied: Go and say to this people:

Listen carefully, but do not understand!

Look intently, but do not perceive!^f

10Make the heart of this people sluggish,

dull their ears and close their eyes;

Lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears,

and their heart understand,

and they turn and be healed.^g”

“I could not believe my eyes, or understand—God is telling Isaiah that there are some people who are not to hear, to see, to understand ---lest they be healed. Who are these people, I asked God? You are all forgiving, all merciful ---who are the people who are talking about?” And look, in the Gospels—Jesus, Himself said that is why He speaks in parables—so they, them people cannot see or percieve and understand! Then Jesus quoted that Scripture.

So, them people: we must be careful what we speak to them people. Maybe the hard hearted, the too wise, the scientific experts, the political fanatics, the techical idolators, the lovers of self ----them people. Maybe what God is saying do not speak to them for the ‘seed’ will fall on rocks and the birds will eat it. Or, the seed will go into briars and weeds and choked out!. Worse yet, maybe God does not want His Word to be desecrated, and thrown before swine and pigs to be trampled on!! For Wisdom is likened to Precious Pearls and His Word Sacred. So—be careful what you say to ‘them people.’

Maybe, them people are those who are the masters of manipulation and will take the message, tear it all apart and chew it up and spit it out---completely changed and taking on a whole new meaning then what His Word, His Message was meant to be spoken. I mean--just who are 'them people?"

“What do you think, who are these people ---whose hearts must be sluggish, or made sluggish? Who are them people?”

“I think you are a nut! Gimme that Bible.”
