3 reasons why Catholics differ with our worship of the Precious Blood
Native American hunters (Mandan, Hidatsa and Arikara tribes) consume the raw heart of freshly killed game, traditionally. This act symbolizes: a rite of passage for first-time hunters, Divine honor for the animal's sacrifice, and/or other sacred rituals i.e. mealtime grace. Like our Viaticum, a small morsel is consumed in a gentle, spiritual gesture. If the sacrament of Holy Eucharist is compared thusly, these Natives blossom into instant Catholic converts. The Holy Eucharist becomes their source & summit for bravery, power, love and their All.
Soon to be St. Carlos Acutis, Internet-evangelist, heralded Eucharistic miracles through his database. Providentially, his research became collaborative "breadcrumbs" for the book; A Cardiologist Examines Jesus (2021). Italian cardiologist Dr. Franco Serafini dissected five miracles that occurred in Argentina, Poland, Italy and Mexico. Using bleeding Hosts, his research revealed the presence of traumatized cardiac muscle, living white blood cells attempting healing, and cleanly-sliced margins from a sharp blade or lance. Moreover, AB blood was typed--which is the universal recipient--of our sins? Genetic testing was inconclusive due to hidden or missing DNA sequences. Humans are comprised of 46 chromosomes: 23 from each parent. Conversely, the viable, consecrated tissue contained 24 chromosomes, which should have been incompatible with natural life. If Mother Mary's ovarian egg contributed 23 chromosomes, hypothetically another mysterious chromosome supplied the male Y-chromosome to create this supernatural event. The same person's scrapings and similar results were found on the Turin shroud, the Manopello veil and other sacred burial clothing, see references below. Testing our faith, God asks us to draw our own conclusions.
I was visiting my lovely niece, a Mayo Clinic nurse, while passing through Rochester Minnesota. At Sunday Mass, she pointed out where most of the Mayo Cardiology Department was in attendance. When paired with Native converts, these extremely credible witnesses demonstrate the co-existence of culture, faith and science. Perhaps Saint Carlos Acutis could also be the patron saint for the intersection of faith & science?
What are your thoughts? I do love a good rabbit-hole--especially during the "Easter Bunny's" Paschal tide!
