What Our Lady of Fatima asks of us for a better World

Most of us know about the Fatima apparitions to the three children of Fatima, which included the three Secrets she shared with the three children, Lucia dos Santos, and her cousins Jacinta and Francisco Marto, who were brother and sister. There is much to read about in the books that have been published, however, here I want to expound on just a few points of interest that stand out, require understanding, and action on our part as her children.

While Jesus hung on the Cross, and before he died, He said to the Apostle John, His disciple, “Behold your Mother.” Then He said to His blessed mother, “Woman, Behold your son.” Through His words, He gave His mother to be our mother, and we are, therefore, her children.

The two youngest of the children, Francisco and Jacinta, died at a young age. Lucia lived to an older age and was an ordained Sister of an Order.

To follow here is a very brief timeline of Our Lady’s apparitions to the children of Fatima, and her requests to the children: 

1916,   An angel visited the children three times, bringing peace

1917    May 13, June 13, July 13, at the same hour, the Blessed Mother visited the children of Fatima,

requesting more devotion to her Immaculate Heart through praying the rosary, and attending Mass and Communion every first Saturday of the month.

1929 June 13 – Our Lady requested the consecration of Russia to her Immaculate Heart, or Russia would initiate many wars.

1942 Pope Pius X11, acting alone, consecrated the world, but not Russia, to her Immaculate Heart

1943 The Bishop of Fatima, Jose da Salva, gave Sister Lucia a written order to write down the Third Secret to give to him. This was very difficult for Sister Lucia, as there were two parts associated with the Third Secret.

1944 Our Blessed Mother appears to Sister Lucia, requesting that the Third Secret be revealed to the world no later than 1960.

The Third Secret is written down, placed in sealed envelopes, and given to Sister Lucia’s confessor, Bishop da Silva, along with Our Lady’s instructions that it be opened and shared not later than 1960.

1960 The world awaits the Third Secret, However, it was not shared with the world, and the Church ordered Sister Lucia not to speak of the Third Secret with anyone. She was ordered to remain silent.

1962, Why was Our Lady’s request ignored? Our Lady spoke of many things that were to happen, including within our church, if her request was not honored.

It should be noted;

May 13, 1931, Pope Pius X11 consecrated the Church and the human race to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Pope Paul 11 also consecrated the whole world and people to the Immaculate Heart of Mary on May 13, 1982 – BUT, not Russia as Our Lady requested.

Our Blessed Mother warned of wars Russia would initiate if this were not done.

Our dear Pope Francis consecrated Russia and Ukraine to the Immaculate Heart of Mary on March 25, 2022.

Note:  What Our blessed Mother asks of her children (all of us) is to pray the rosary often, attend each First Saturday in her honor with Mass and Communion to save the world, provide a future for all people, and ensure our own salvation. I will see you in Church.

 The children said Our Lady always looked sad, and never smiled. Let us work to make her smile.
