The days of Lent and what that means to me have arrived!
We are living in a world of Spiritual Hunger; each one looking for Christ!
The problem is too many people are not aware of this empty fare that is a hunger for spiritual satisfaction. Christ established the menu that could only satisfy the hungry heart but it needs more than a taste of satisfying pleasure. It requires our part when being served grace which will not occur with a lack of faith that is corrupting the ability to believe in Christ’s Passion.
There is only one attribute in our present world of sin that is holding our trust captive and will ultimately destroy too many people and their loss of the grace from God; it is the glitter of a menu that can only promise spiritual death.
Do we have the tenacity to choose a different path from what is a menu of hatred towards our brothers and is promised to destroy everyone who orders a plate of filthy non-digestible sin that is what Christ died for.
Spiritual hunger is more than using descriptive terms to sell a thought, it is the only entity that will save our soul when the evil plot of men who are a demonic wolf preaching a gospel that is anti-Christ in essence. If we think that this type of preaching, written or spoken, is to sell an idea that not too many will adhere to its premise, think again. The reason God sent his Son to Calvary was to offer us a plate of food that contains the Blood of Christ that will satisfy this Spiritual Hunger. How many will not believe in this sacrifice that is the only way to nourish this need that far too many are not aware of even in their own loss of God’s grace.
One sure way to dismiss this idea of gaining some spirituality is to avoid our Church and the very sound teaching that our ministers are promoting through the bible, sacramental attendance, and our own desire to find Christ in the people around us. This has become a past event in history that no longer seems to fit in our modern tenure of society. We are most definitely in a lack of spiritual understanding and the results will be a society looking for Christ and not able to see him because of the inability to discern what is on our plate.
The World Economic Forum declares Jesus is fake news and God is dead. Just found this on X and it is just one more way Satan is using modern technology to pull so many away from this Spiritual essence we all are in need of.
Please pray that the remaining Christians will look at what is occurring and how much the Church must address this lack of Spirituality in so many of its parishioners.
