I am confident that you are familiar with yesterday's shocking piece from esteemed British journalist Damian Thompson (How the People's Pope shielded sexual predators in the clergy - including one priest accused of violently raping nuns, Daily Mail, 5/4/25).

The seeming favoritism afforded such clerics as Jesuits James Martin and Cardinal Tucho Fernandez (How do you author the vile Heal Me with Your Mouth and then head the Doctrine of the Faith?), as well as the former Jesuit Marko Rupnik, is outrageously insulting to mature lay people - especially parents and grandparents. How can we be expected to trust our bishops?

Proceeding with the conclave without FULLY investigating whether Pope Francis covered for sexual criminals would constitute the worst sort of clericalism and disrespect toward moms, dads, and their kids.

Before Almighty God, are you not responsible for the credibility of the papacy?
