St Paul
I think I've called upon every Saint that resides in Heaven. After Jesus, Mary and St Joseph, I think the most influential hope would be Saint Peter, our "First Pope". Through his Holy intercession we can be assured his watchful, powerful eye will be on the Conclave.
We must be aware confusion, temptation and any tool the devil and his minions decide on will be used in that room where the Conclave resides. Just because the door is locked doesn't mean they can't get in. But the Power of the Holy Spirit will overwhelm them by our prayers. It will squash any attempts by these horrible entities too confuse them and not listen to the voice of God. But we must pray. We must repent. We must do penance. God is watching and we want Him to see we are trying. We are in need of a good Holy Shepherd. The battle between reformists and traditionalists wage on. Or should I say "rage " on. The battle between good and evil is not a new battle. It's intensity has surely gotten stronger, but it has always existed. By the freedom of choice, it is tested daily by the world and its humans. St Peter himself was tested in the most extreme way, and failed, only to rise and gain the Keys to Heaven and becoming the "Rock", "the first Pope" on which the Church was built. The Stone which the builders rejected, still is the Cornerstone, and St Peter preached this wherever he could. Some listened. Alot rejected. Ultimately, resulting in his martyrdom. Yet, the Keys of Heaven lay within his hands and that is something to remember well.
Everyone sins. But it's in the act of not sinning again and "persevering in" not sinning again, is where the weight of Justice lies. St Peter can help us. Pray to him. Remember him. Listen to him. Denying that Jesus is God, is yes, a horrible sin, but it is in realizing this falsehood and proclaiming His Oneness with the Father that is the key. This is exactly what our beloved friend St Peter did. He sinned, he repented and then spread the Truth to all he met, even to the point of persecution and then ultimately his death.
"Oh! Dear friend, St Peter, intercede for us under thy Holy rule as our "First Pope". Ask God to grant us the Shepherd, not that we deserve, but truly need.
