Diary of A Convert-Fifth Excerpt
Oftentimes we may hear the testimonies of those who converted with the power of God’s love. Some are filled with supernatural wonder and miracles, while some sound quite as simple as just reading a passage from the Bible. Either way, they are powerful and moving. They can inspire us to continue to grow in our faith and love of Christ. There are sometimes, like myself and the following testimonies and interviews provided, in which the person who converted needed a spiritual “slap in the face” from our Creator. I was no exception.
I was one of the people who apparently needed a big miracle to refind my faith in God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. With me, it started with the passing of my father. I was raised a protestant, Freewill Baptist. I fell from my faith and got into some pretty dark stuff, not knowing any better. Some spooky things happened to me that led me to give up my previous ways. After the death of my father, I was seeking spiritual counseling, and I did not want to go back to the way I had been. That being the case, I found the closest church I could walk to, which was a Catholic Church, and the rest, as you may read in my previous articles, is pretty much self-explanatory. I had my little miracle in that church.
Oftentimes on YouTube I would see these videos of various people giving their testimonies on how they found Christ and how He saved them. Some of them were pagans, psychics, mediums, witches, played with ouija boards and tarot cards, and such. I found them all to be very inspiring. I have been in contact with some of these fellow new-found Christians and have asked if I could interview them for this article. One convert, one of whose story among a few impressed me the most, is a former witch who now runs a YouTube channel helping to spread the word of God. After I finished watching her testimony on YouTube, I had to reach out to her right away. The following is her story.
Laura Ansell, a beautiful soul and advocate of God, is a daughter of God who was misled by the tempter in her life. A former British Witch, she was also into tarot cards, cast spells, and such. Never a complete Satanist, she practiced the dark arts under the misconception that it was a path towards bettering herself. Having suffered from not receiving the love she wanted, she resulted in practicing witchcraft to try to find the missing love that she needed. According to her words, she even looked the part of a witch, dying her hair red and dressing in dark clothes, kind of like I was during my “goth phase.” Except, unlike me, she didn’t look like the illegitimate child of Svengoolie.
Everything changed when Jesus came to her. From our Lord and Savior, she felt the love that she missed her whole life. Our Lord also gave her a mission, to reach out to others with her testimony and to help save souls here on earth. She even has a website that you can visit, www.findingyourflock.co.uk, where you can learn more about her and her mission from God. Through her website, you can even message her, ask her questions and seek spiritual counseling. She even has a book out entitled Sign, Sealed, Delivered: A Woman’s Ascension from the Bottomless Pit to the Heavenly Kingdom. The following is my interview with her:
After seeing your testimony on YouTube, I knew I just had to reach out to you. I find it my personal mission to use my previous experiences in helping others, especially those who follow such dark arts. Do you have any advice on how I could go about helping others that follow such arts?
When it comes to trying to help someone who is involved in the occult, don’t be judgmental and preachy in a way that would drive them away further. Do it from the heart. Don’t just talk about the bible, be the bible. We have to know how to adapt and know our audience
For those that are on the cusps, or thinking about leaving the occult behind, be excited for them. Encourage them. Be there for them to help them in whatever questions they have.
How much has your life changed since you left your previous path to follow Jesus?
The biggest significant change was internal. I was put on the path of what Jesus gave me, which gave me a change of heart. Jesus had to change my heart before He could enter it. Externally, I had reunions and restorations with friends and family I had previously lost contact with. I’ve reconnected with family and friends. Jesus restored everything. I have a newfound community and was delivered from pride. I also have a new family and new community of brothers and sisters in Christ. I went from having a prideful yet miserable life to a fun and fruitful life with strong family connections.
Was there ever a point during your previous path when you thought that maybe it wasn’t the right way to go?
Never a point during that time. Others would say things, give me advice or tell me to be careful, but I never listened. At the time I felt justified. Not until after my first encounter with Jesus did I start doubting the path of being a witch.
When Jesus came to you, what were all the feelings you experienced?
At first I felt I had too much darkness in me to be in His presence. I was confused and asked questions. After giving up occult practices, I then felt completely undeserving to His mercy. I was overwhelmed, yet I felt peace and love all at the same time.
If you traveled back in time to visit yourself while practicing the things you used to do, what advice would you give yourself?
I’m not sure if I would be able to give any advice to myself, I probably wouldn’t listen to myself; but, I would give a big hug and validate that the stuff I was into wasn’t the answer. And validate myself in love and reassurance.
Do you have any advice for my readers who may be searching for different spiritual practices or may be contemplating on practicing such pagan practices?
My choices after I gave up on the occult were put on me by Jesus. The best practice is to be still, listen, and know. Feel yourself in His presence. It’s way more powerful than any tarot card, yoga, etc. Jesus will take you off of the dark path and will take the darkness out of you, kind of like when Moses led the Israelites out of Egypt and where in the desert for 40 years. Moses out of Egypt, Egypt out of Moses. If new age practices truly healed, you wouldn’t have to go back to them over and over. With Jesus, you don’t have to try different self-healing techniques. He just heals. When you want something new and realize you’re trying way too hard in seeking, it’s easier to seek and find Jesus then it is to seek and find love and approval elsewhere. The Lord walks in blessings.
Now that the serious questions are over, time to make this interview a little fun. What is your favorite color? Who’s your favorite author? How is a raven like a writing desk?
My favorite color is magenta. My favorite authors are Leonard Ravenhill and C.S. Lewis. My favorite book though is Humility by Andrew Murray. As for the raven, only Lewis Carroll knows.
Another beautiful soul is that of Keisha. Shew was also looking for love, which led her to a dark path. When was a kid, her mother didn’t give her the love a mother should. The only person in her life at that time that gave her the love she needed was her grandmother. She dealt with many hardships in life. Trying to cope with her past, she was led to the path of Luciferianism. She also practiced witchcraft and used tarot cards. She could even see spirits.
Everything changed for her when Jesus came to her and gave her a vision of hell. He showed her what would happen to her if she kept down the path she was heading. After her vision was over, she saw angels, even Michael the Archangel, in her room banishing demons from her. She threw away everything she owned that was occult related and tore down altars she had erected to various demons and pagan gods. You can find her on YouTube with the name DaughterofYahuah, https://youtube.com/@praisethekingyeshua?si=pKw3beXSP1RyjdG-. You can even email her for advice at keishagodismylight@gmail.com. The following is my interview with her.
After seeing your testimony on YouTube, I knew I just had to reach out to you. I find it my personal mission to use my previous experiences in helping others, especially those who follow such dark arts. Do you have any advice on how I could go about helping others that follow such arts?
Yes! Definitely have quite a few pieces of advice. My first thing I advise is to get to know Yeshua and the Father Yahuah. Which is who people call God but in my own personal relationship I have with Him and lots of studying and talking to Him He has a rightful name which is Yahuah or Yah. I learned something really awesome recently that He showed me. When we come into this world, and we take our first breath, does it not say Yahhhwahhh which is Yahuah or some say Yahweh. When we leave this earth and take our last breath, which I have seen a lot being a nurse, the breath makes the same sound. And when we say Hallelujah that word means Praise Yah! Amen! So get to know Him your ownself. Not through others’ eyes and teachings, don't let social media teach you. Pick up the word and read, there's so many mysteries He will reveal. It's fascinating! There's a difference between you knowing Him and you knowing of Him. See? And another thing, this thing of deliverance, we idolize man and hunt down man to deliver us. We want to go to these conferences and pay hundreds of dollars for all these so-called men and women of God to lay hands on us and that needs to stop. Seriously. Because not everyone who says they are a prophet, an apostle, etc. is one and you don't know the spirit they are operating in either. Don't let just anyone lay hands on you. Stop seeking out the men and seek Yeshua! He said to follow Him not other Christians. It will lead you down a rabbit hole and it will be easy for the enemy to come in and deceive you. Deliverance as well takes time, it's a process and it doesn't mean that once you are free bad things won't happen anymore they will ever more because the devil has lost another one. The thing is you will be covered. Psalm 91 isn't just a prayer you say: the first part you are coming into a covenant with Yah, the last part are His own words, His promises, if you have Faith. And you have to choose this day whom you will serve. You can't be a Christian on Sunday and sin the rest of the week. Once you get doors closed you gotta keep them closed. And it's important to build a relationship with the Holy Spirit.
It says in John 14:15-17 Jesus Promises the Holy Spirit.
15: If you love me, keep my commands. 16: And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever 17: the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you. He is our counselor and comforter. Talk to Him.
How much has your life changed since you left your previous path to follow Jesus?
I have found life when I came to Jesus who I'd rather say Yeshua. He has set me free from so much and it has been a process. I have been supernaturally healed from things that were making me sick because that's the price of walking with Lucifer. He will give you things but there's a price most witches and people don't realize why they are sick all the time or have all these aches and pains, why their children have issues, deaths in the family, it's the price that's paid. I found peace in Yeshua. And I have had quite a few experiences with Him. His presence it's amazing. I'd never go back.
Was there ever a point during your previous path when you thought that maybe it wasn’t the right way to go?
The point when I realized that that wasn't the way to go was when I was taken to hell literally. That's all the point I needed and I never want that experience again. Lucifer would take me places and make it look pretty and tell me what's waiting for me. There were rooms with pretty dresses and there were beautiful girls that would say they are my sisters, dress me in these beautiful dresses and crowds and Lucifer would say I'm his queen there, but it was a lie. Because Yeshua showed me the real place to end up if I stayed in that path.
Could you briefly describe what led you to Christ?
What led me to Christ was solely my experience. The way and as detestable as I was, I was so awful, I was the worst kind of witch. I was hateful and did a lot of things. Yet in all that and I didn't ask for His help, that day He showed up and saved me from what would have been my fate. And to have that kind of Love, to go through life as I did, No one ever picked me. No one ever gave me a chance. No one loved me but my grandparents. He picked me. He believed in me, He gave me a chance, multiple ones actually and He loved me. That is what drew me. You won't get that anywhere else, especially in humans these days. He is my forever best friend.
When Jesus came to you, what were all the feelings you experienced?
I experience a lot of love, warmth, the love and happiness floods you, you feel living water, refreshed, rejuvenating love! It's awesome!
If you traveled back in time to visit yourself while practicing the things you used to do, what advice would you give yourself?
I would tell myself don't do it, I would slap myself and say wake up! Yeshua is the only way.
Do you have any advice for my readers who may be searching for different spiritual practices or may be contemplating on practicing such pagan practices?
I have one simple piece of advice for them that Yeshua is the only way, and all other ways lead to hell, hell is very real and there are parts of hell for people according to their sins and the part for pagan practices like I did is not fun! And it's eternal. There's no breaks. You don't get out. Once you are there it's too late. The girl I saw there was being tortured in a way no horror movie could ever depict it. Leave that crap alone and trust Yah. The devil will make you a lot of promises, he even gives you things but the cost is death. I saw many of my witch friends die really bad weird deaths. When they are done with you they get rid of you. Yeshua gives life. The only thing the devil can give you is death. Choose life.
Now that the serious questions are over, time to make this interview a little fun. What is your favorite color? Who’s your favorite author? How much wood could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood? You don’t have to answer the woodchuck question; I’m just being silly.
Favorite color is purple. My favorite author is the late Mike Heiser. Lol, the woodchuck got me. I bet he could chuck a lot of wood.
God’s love is limitless. If there is anything I have learned, and I am pretty sure these two daughters of God can agree, is that God’s love is always there for us. All we have to do is accept it. Accept God. Accept our Lord and Savior. Live your life in God’s grace and mercy, for He truly wants to give it to us. The only way we can not receive God’s grace is by refusing his grace. Live, love, and prosper!
