Must I Lord?
Judging is a sin. One that I must frequent in my confessions as to my guilt of this sin. It creeps into your soul like a spark from a fire. Yes, many of my confessions include this sin and if you look closely at this fiend, you see it is total disrespect of God's Holy Majesty and Justice. Who am I? I am nothing. In fact I consider myself no better than the worst of sinners, just because of this fallacy.
Pope Leo XIV has just started and the world is already starting to judge him. I, through the Grace of God, am reminded regularly that judging is wrong. The world and it's views on perfection are flawed. Our ears hear one thing and we are ready to condemn. Media and the voices of unreason hit our hearts and confuse us on the real issue. No one is perfect. No one. I can't even include myself in the running for faithfulness because of this sin. Like I have said before, many of the greatest Saints had to be converted. They led horrible, sinful lives before they became Beacons of Faith. Before they became great Saints. Many rejected God and Jesus right in front of their eyes. Yet through the Grace and Mercy and prayers of the faithful, they came to realize their flaws. What hope this gives to my wretched soul.
This Pope, to me, shows Hope. We must listen carefully to the words on the Gospel and teachings of Scripture that he says. We must allow God to be the Judge. We must step aside from ourselves and rely only on the God we profess to be just that, "our God". We may have our opinions, yes, but ultimately, we must realize the Great Judge of Heaven holds the gavel, especially on "us".
Do not judge this Pope Leo XIV. Do not judge anyone. Work on your own soul, so that the Holy Spirit can help you understand and see clearly that in order for us to become true children of God, for "us" to be great Saints and enter Heaven, we must humble ourselves before the Majesty of the High Court in Heaven and respond only with the words, "yes Lord, I'm here, use me as you wish, guide me and pick me up when I fall, your servant is listening".
Offer prayers daily for the success of Pope Leo XIV, our chosen Shepherd and Leader of our Catholic Church.
