A reflection on Psalm 5

I have a sore throat right now, and am not really feeling all that well. But, because I have to have something, and I like getting to interact with y'all (hence why I leave links), I think the topic this week will be based around Psalm 5. Because it contains the word “throat”.
“Give ear to my words, O LORD, consider my meditation. Hearken unto the voice of my cry, my King, and my God: for unto thee will I pray. My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O Lord, in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee and look up. For thou art not a God that hath pleasure in wickedness; neither shall evil dwell with thee.
The foolish shall not stand in thy sight: Thou hatest all workers of iniquity. Thou shalt destroy them that speak leasing: the LORD will abhor the bloody and deceitful man. But as for me, I will come into thy house in the multitude of thy mercy: and in thy fear will I worship toward thy holy temple. Lead me, O LORD in thy righteousness because of mine enemies; make thy way straight before my face. For there is no faithfulness in their mouth; their inward part is very wickedness; their throat is an open sepulchre; they flatter with their tongue. Destroy thou them, O God; let them fall by their own counsels; cast them out in the multitude of their transgressions; for they have rebelled against thee.
But let all those that put their trust in thee rejoice: let them ever shout for joy, because thou defendest them: let them also love thy name be joyful in thee. “
For thou, LORD, wilt bless the righteous; with favours with thou compass him as with a shield”.
Thinking about it, the people who's throats are open sepulchres and flatter with the tongue, yep, I know those people. They've tried to get me to buy a time share. Also, they blame Ukraine for starting a war they started.
But, let me give you an example of how someone can misunderstand that. My friend Crystal is beautiful, and I tell her that. I tell her that because it's true and I want her to know that's what I think.
However, when I was in Myrtle Beach being pressured by a woman into buying a time share, I mentioned some of the music I was hearing, and enjoying it. And, she started getting really flirty with me...since, umm, this; Life as an autistic Catholic, I wasn't quite comfy. But, it was weird, because like there was this loud music to pressure you, and they celebrated people “buying” time shares...like ripoffs are a good thing.
That said, looking at time shares IS a good way to get free stuff in Myrtle Beach. Just don't let them pressure you into buying stuff. But, that's a good example of “they flatter with their tongue”.
That woman didn't care about me, I was a mark to her (that's a wrestling term,Comprehensive Guide to Pro Wrestling Terms & Professional Wrestling Terminology). Unfortunately for her, I'm a smart mark, or a “smark”.
Now, the “bloody and deceitful man”, don't worry, I've been told that a certain dictator is a “good Christian”, Truth matters, Psalm 120 and current events), but, I would say that a man that starts a war is bloody, oh, and deceitful? Here's Putin saying that Crimea is Ukraine, Putin's 2008 Comments On Crimea, Before A Sharp Change Of Tack . If it seems like I talk about that a lot, it's because I'm trying to convey a fact to you, PUTIN IS NOT TRUSTWORTHY.
Anyway, rant over. So, what can we get out of Psalm 5? I think this says it best; “For thou, LORD, wilt bless the righteous; with favours with thou compass him as with a shield”
You're still going to have people who lie to you, people who tempt you, people who take advantage of your trust, people who love bomb (I'd share a definition, but, I can't find one that isn't needlessly complex), you.
These people will always exist. So what should you do?
Serve God.
