Bearing Fruit

The season is young so let us begin

Time to prep up the soil time to dig in

Make sure old branches and vines have been pruned

If not this seasons crops they may end up ruined

Be ready with daily water and if needed fertilizer

To help our seedlings and plants to become tall and grow stronger

Be ready to nurture and to weed daily

Don’t wait practice now this time in mid-May

We truly want this harvest to be be grand

Fruit and produce grown on this land

We must be ready with extra water too

In times of drought water ourselves we do

Cultivating

Nurturing

Caring

Loving

With these and our Lord will our fruit bear

And it will we hope be bigger and greater

More so than last year for with age we get better

Not only better but hopefully wiser

This fall will be grand with these gardens bearing fruit aplenty

Provided we’ve followed our plan strong and steady

Remembering to offer to God each day as we pray

That our harvest will bring shouts of good cheer and hooray
