Belonging

To this world I ask do I belong

For from this planet of rock water air for what do I long

There are so many distractions to hear smell see

To detain me from where I need to be

The people animals insects birds all creatures alive

Yet are they what I need or why I strive

The Church to whom I belong

Gives me hope and helps make me strong

I often and almost always feel a special longing

There is another place which seems to be calling

Our Lord has told us this place here is only for growing

Give all to Him He asks so you may go where your heart will always be glowing

Give so you may attain to your final destination

With the Your True Father with whom you  long to be for all eternity in Heaven
