To Know about God or Know God; The Difference is?

It is so easy to know about something regardless of what its significance is.  As an electrician for over 50 years I can say I know about electricity.  However, if I am asked to tell anyone what electricity is, I must draw a blank.  Working with the power of various voltages, current movement through conductors, and what it feels like to be shocked, yes I can put knowledge on those issues.  But to explain electricity as what it is remains a mystery for everyone.  Edison knew about DC and Tesla Knew about AC.  But neither could tell us what electricity is.   

Most people can place some degree of understanding God by what he has done since he created man.  At least this understanding is from what has been authored in the bible by those we trust using their own degree of following the guidance of God and the inspiration of what the Holy Spirit has placed in their minds and faith.  

Even Satan and all of his demon angels can confirm they know God.  After all, each of these angels that God created before man were in the presence of the Holy Trinity and understood the divine presence of their creator.  But did any of them really believe they knew God by his essence and Omnipresence?  Perhaps if they did know none of them would have used their pride to challenge him.  

There are, at times, many people who spend a lot of energy doing good for other people, caring for the elderly and making sure their daily movements do not offend God.  All of these and more types of charity please God.  But, like the angels who went their own way of offending God, have these well-meaning people of God considered delving into their self-sufficient desires to treat themselves first and place the deep essence of God in second place?

This is not to place a sinful attribute on anyone who feels that the above signs of being charitable is good enough.  The issue at hand is far deeper than using discernment to make a chart of good or better.  Knowing God is a depth-reaching reality that has discovered an open path into the personal side of our God.  Like an  athlete that finds a far-better manner of working his muscles through dedication, so the person who has found that specific path into the essence of our God becomes personal in a way that most do not understand.  

Using the premise of not being able to know what electricity is becomes the same as knowing about God in lieu of knowing him is not a mystery.  To study the attributes of God is not the same as being one with him that overshadows the do’s and instead stands on the other side of most people’s wondering question of Knowing God instead of knowing about God.

If you are part of God’s understanding, you’ll realize why hatred and anger are among some of the offenses that hurt him.  Judging anyone out of a vengeful attitude cannot remain and still find peace with the God of eternal peace.  Allowing each man and woman an opportunity to repent of their failings and grant them one last sign of repenting is the truth that is God.  

God cannot not forgive anyone who asks for forgiveness.  If he did it would be a contradiction to his love.  God cannot contradict himself.  Sharing these attributes of God and placing ourselves as his image of holiness, we can claim we understand him with acknowledgement of who he IS.

Everyone has the opportunity to find this entity.  It is the quest to reach this on our own.

Just remember that this goal is not reserved for certain people; it is open for all those who desire to be with God.  We do not gloat over the close presence of God, instead we join the multitude of souls that are calling out to you who have yet to find our answer of being with Christ.
