Everyday, a new day

     I was sitting on the patio and had asked God if He could let the sun come out for just a moment, as we have had days of clouds and rainy weather. No sun. But I surrendered His decision willingly and He sent me an even more beautiful sight for my eyes. A red bird, to fly right past me into the leaves of the tree on the side. I smiled. Thanking Him for this beautiful red colored Cardinal only to see a mate fly right in and creep in beside him. Thinking to myself that what I thought would be a good feeling with the Sun shining, was brought to an even better delight. That's how God is. Always giving better than we could ever imagine. Every day, a new day. Brought with doors that close but Windows always ready to open. 

     Seeing everyday as a new day is Hope. Asking for favor and guidance and for our King to stay with us is a shining Light of His presence beside us. Navigating this thing called Life can be quite complicated, if we don't look for Him in the signs He sends us.

     So peacefully He can tread before us, allowing us to walk in His footsteps. Every day. In every sunrise, in every cloud, with every breath that He has allowed us to breathe, at His command. He is a good God, and I love Him. Oh! My God! Help me to love You more!
