Putting God's Forgiveness in perspective, It's never too late to say I'm sorry!
Look Carefully at the Unseen Enemies of God.
Do not ask where or what are the enemies of God? Each one wears an outfit that identifies their very premise of deceit, a lack of forbearance for the average human, or the treachery reserved for those who seek forgiveness. They are everywhere in our modern society, just as they existed for centuries before us.
If we look with diligence at those around us and hope to recognize them as an enemy of God you will waste your time. Because with enemies of any person or environmental entity the one who threatens another uses stealth and camouflage to trick the unsuspecting into seeing only goodness in their demeanor. Of course these shadows of hatred and deceit cannot fool God, but it is his creatures that will be caught in the noose of unsuspecting evils.
It is here that we must rely upon the Spirit of God to warn us of impending danger that waits to trap our lives with a subtle approach and dare us to find protection from God’s graciousness. The words of St. Paul where he says: “For our struggle is not with flesh and blood but with the principalities, with the powers, with the world rulers of this present darkness, with the evil spirits in the heavens.” (Eph 6: 12).
Too often our understanding of protection, be it personal or national, relies upon our cadre within government to fight back on any attacks, protecting our safety. The failure of this attitude does not deal with the enemies of nations or personal attackers, it is the battle all of us are now encountering from the unseen enemies promoted by Satan.
Once we become privy to the hidden activities that Satan is declaring on God’s people and their spiritual safety we can then find and share in the presence of the Holy Spirit who will warn us and guide our direction around these events that are being used to pull us away from the graces God gives us. The one requirement to find this grace will be our faith. Without that, unbelief becomes a struggle to find God’s concern for us, even though that is always part of his love that does not diminish.
We are living in a period of great disillusionment where faith has become something many people do not realize the impact of its power and just use the word as a passing item without savoring its effectiveness on their spiritual adherence. However, faith, as we have always been told, is something we never should give up on. Once we truly believe in God and all he gives to each of us we must hold tightly to faith that is an undeniable attribute of receiving grace from God that of itself is the power to find and keep the Lord of heaven close by.
Those enemies of God, and consequently each of us, are real and never go away. The secret, if we need one, is to hold on to the truth of God and rely upon the presence of the Holy Spirit who dwells within each person. Remember, what Paul said; we are not dealing with flesh and blood. The unseen powers of the spiritual world are to be fought with the Archangel Michael and the protection of the Holy Spirit.
