Imagine you could go back in time and alter history in order to improve the world today as we know it, and eliminate all evil in today’s society. Would you do it? And if you did alter history would you in effect be taking away peoples’ choices and free wills to act as they wish? Would you be playing God and placing your will, your vision of a better future, above that of humanity?
As I read this book which was sent to me by the author, these thoughts kept coming to mind, and they reminded me of James Stewart in “It’s a Wonderful Life” being shown how life can be affected by our choices and decisions. I couldn’t help wondering, if we want to affect the future, for the better for our loved ones and for humanity, then we do not need to go back in history. We have the opportunity to affect the future right now by what we do and the way we do it.
The book and storyline cover many subjects relating to choices and free will and whether we are able to balance our own will with that of God and what He has ordained for us. When we recite the Lord’s Prayer, do we really mean, “Thy will be done”? Or do we mean, “as long as it is what I want?” When we ask Him for favours, or bargain for something, or question Him even; it would be worth remembering that God does not owe us an answer. He is not obligated to respond. All we need do is to trust Him that He has our best interest at heart.
An easy to read book, which I completed reading in one sitting. Greatly recommended.
