What are we fighting for?
Our beloved Pastor, Father Michael McCabe, had a beautiful sermon today about the "Sacred Stories" everyone in the Scriptures had and what we all have the potential of having. Our "own" Sacred Story.
It made me think of what my own Sacred story will be. How the characters in my story would play an important part of my history. The things I've said and done to make my story meaningful and special. I better get to work. Each moment of our lives depend on it. No one may ever remember me, but He will. No one may ever know the real me, but He does.
Our Sacred Stories are part of what He created us to be. In every sacrifice, every trial, every word, thought, deed and action, provides the lines in our script. We must not hesitate another second to make our Sacred Stories come alive.
Father pointed out that the Holy Spirit lies within us and that the Author of Life gives us these Sacred Stories. That is what I took away from this beautiful sermon and gave me this sweet picture in my mind the beautiful realization that we are all Sacred beings, all with Sacred Stories.
What is "your" Sacred Story? What will you ask our Lord today to make your Sacred Story come alive? Let your first page read " In you oh God, I trust. In you oh God, I love. In You oh God, make me Sacred.
